and environmental-social impacts. To enjoy a trip on water is
not necessary a high-end luxury any more, but become more
popular activities for sporting, fun and recovery. Although
distance between East and West declines and opportunities
increase, the maritime leisure industry in the different parts
of the world also faces greater challenges from rapid societal
and technologies shifts, as well as environmental hazards.
Different from travels on land, traveling on water has its own
speed, views, goals and people. New challenges and needs for the
maritime leisure industry lie in the communication to raise
public, policy and economic interests, to facilitate and
interconnect destinations at ocean, sea, rivers, lakes and
waters, to greet this fundamental resource of our planet.
